A Little Put Out by Tumblr

Tumblr’s quality has really suffered over the last 12 months. First, they kill RSS importing, then, they remove the best templates from the “Template Garden” leaving only shoddy ones UNLESS you want to shell out 45$ (which is obscene for a blog, let’s be honest). Evidently, Tumblr didn’t like some of the user created themes that were better than their almost 50$ premium ones.

Really? We’re kitty cornering people into BUYING your overpriced garbage? Not happening, guys. No way. Lower your prices, and bring back the good themes. You shouldn’t have removed the user created themes. None of them violated ToS, there were no swears, no porn, etc. You just didn’t like the idea that some of the users out there are better at this than you are, and FOR FREE. 45$ for a 3 column theme? Drop dead. No way am I shelling out that kind of bread for a TUMBLE BLOG.

Storm??

So, sitting here, watching the radar on Accuweather, and it shows a band of some pretty badass looking storms just about covering Springfield, which is only about 30 minutes from here as the Parakeet flies. So, here’s a question: Why are none of the local news outlets running the storm warning on the bottom of their programming? Is this some fascist population control via Governor Duval Patrick?

I’ve got all my gear set up to record some video and audio, and I know it’s coming because I can feel it. Yes, I’m one of those weirdos that can do that. Soon, I’ll have a weather station so I can predict them myself since all the local news outlets stretch the truth in a ratings grab. Yeah, you’ll get a more accurate prediction from me. Funny, eh?

Angry right now. Tired of stupidity, arrogance, and pride to the point where I feel powerless to help or stop the hurt I am seeing being caused. I have no use for cheating, lying, piles of swill….
